Kyochuu Rettou (The Island of Giant Insects) Chapter 21 Part 1 v2 [English] [Manga]

I'm not too fond of this new art. It lacks the detail, depth and expressions which RED ICE had, but even though it does look fairly similar in a way, it is a big step down. I mean, just compare a few pages and you'll see what I mean. Heck, I might as well do that for you. Also, everyone is shouting way less and have more passive faces even though the situation is rather dire. Oribe doesn't have those crazy eyes and comes off as less bossy, and there was also a few dialogue changes for some reason.
Anyhow, as you may have heard, this is indeed getting an anime. Or rather, an OVA. However, I do welcome it as I thought they never would adapt it. Though, I hope they don't change too much given the content of the manga since it would be a shame if they mess it up or have all the bugs bad Berserk-tier CGI. At any rate, the author included a page at the beginning to give us some info on the big delays and as one would have assumed, it was health related. The artist in particular which is the reason why the artist has now changed. If you're wondering who he is, it's this guy, Hirose Shuu. All said and done, I'm glad it's back, but while it is strange to redraw two chapters, it does make sense given that it's also the beginning of volume 06. I hope you enjoy, and there will be more coming early January. See ya!

Gekiman! - Devilman Chapter - #09 [English] [Manga]

I've been insanely busy with work and rather tired outside of that, so I haven't had much or any time at all to work on things in the recent month. However, just to get something out quick, I decided to do more Gekiman before working on Armitage The Third #2 and more Getter Edge. Both of which I'll realistically most likely start on before or after the New Year. Anyhow, enjoy the chapter. See ya!

Treasure Hunter Jubei - Chapter 27 [English] [Manga]

And that was the end of Jubei. Well, it was a good manga overall, but it severely lacks any sort of word-building, recurring characters, character development and the like. Of course, it's just an action/comedy manga, so all that stuff isn't really necessary, but something of the sort could have benefitted the manga. Anyhow, I did like the first two volumes more, but the 3rd was still good. And it was nice to see where Tomizawa started before going on to Alien 9 like 5 years later especially given how different the two works are.
Lastly, the TL by CPM (which I had to fix a good bit to make it more accurate to the source) was serviceable, but if you've been reading my posts, you'd see that they made certain inappropriate TL choices. On that, they even messed up the Crimson Shield's nickname by calling it the "immortal shield" even though what that part is trying to get across is that Jubei is now immortal and will live forever, so "shield of immortality" or "shield of perpetual youth" (both of which are the accurate translation) makes more sense in that regard. Anyway, I complain a lot, so let's end that here. Thank those of you who actually read this because I do know that there are a few. I hope you enjoyed it. As for other Tomizawa works, well, I do plan on doing Enchant Land sooner or later, but first, I've got to make a start on Armitage The Third volume #2 and Getter Edge volume #3. Oh, and more Gekiman. Bai bai!

Treasure Hunter Jubei - Chapter 26 [English] [Manga]

Man, Tomizawa must really love Sailor Moon and those video game console references. Lol. Anyhow, there's only one more chapter to go and it does end rather abruptly. Enjoy. I should have the final one out soon, too. See ya!
