Betterman - Complete Volume [English] [Manga]

This was a decent manga despite it jumping events between chapters and not being entirely coherent (though you've meant to have seen the anime), but what I liked about it was how it took things a little differently at times and the dialogue in it. Anyhow, I had to like remove some paper-ish bits on half the pages and level them slightly in the affected areas and fix a few lines before compiling this volume, FYI. Do enjoy, but don't read if you haven't saw the anime because this is meant to be a companion book to it. See ya!

Betterman - Chapter 06 - Final [English] [Manga]

Heroes never die

This was a nice end to the manga. It helps convey the message and the ending is not so grim as it is in the anime where they laugh manically like they're infected with Algernon. Here, they actually say a few words, have a message for the future, see that Akamatsu and the crew survived and see the remains of Betterman and a transformation seed because heroes never die. In other news, I checked out a few works by the author who did Getter Robo Darkness and man do I have something to say about that.

The only one I really want to mention is Spider Sniper Koroshiya. There's violence and lots of sex like every 2 pages, but the entire thing is just so absurdly done that it makes me want to read it. On that, I intend to start translating the first volume soon  Anyway, I'll be checking over the chapters to make sure everything's good and ready for the volume release, so expect that very soon. There's only one more chapter to go (which I'm going to scan in a minute) and then that'll be me finished the Betterman manga. On Betterman, I'm also doing a new but proper encode of the show, so stay tuned for that soon on the nyaa clones and animebytes. Anyway, after this, I want to progress more into both Hinamizawa Bus Stop and Getter Darkness volume 2. Betterman - Chapter 04 [English] [Manga]

I found it a tad bit odd to see a few mis-translations and whatnot in Betterman. Of course, they could be mis-spellings due to R & L and stuff like that, they choose to spell it like that, they're just plain wrong, or just that they didn't do their research. In any case, let's go through a few. First is from the anime and the second one is the manga here that I'm doing.

• Chandy - Chandi: Hindu goddess, and aspect of Pārvatī. Minor thing, but it should be Chandi.
• Mode Warp - Modi Warp - Spelt and pronounced Modi, but says Mode in signs for some reason.
• Kankel - Kanker: Literally means cancer in Dutch. Has meaning in relation to the villain.
• Vivele - Vivere: Is Latin for life. The "seed of Vivere" aka the seed of life. Has meaning in relation to the plot and such if you've seen the anime. Can't talk about it without spoilers.

The last one is a big one, I'd say. The rest aren't too bad, but the right spelling is obvious except for Modi Warp as I'm sure that was just the Japanese messing up in translating from Japanese to English. In any case, enjoy the chapter. This was a good one. There's also only two more left. Lastly, in other news, my YouTube channel got shut down and I'm really fucking pissed at that. I've had it since 2006 and this is the 2nd time it's happened. I better get it back, but all I've got from Google so far is "bla bla bla copyright no can do". Betterman - Chapter 03 v1.01 [English] [Manga]

Smug

I'm actually really enjoying the Betterman anime. It's a fresh breath of air for me as it's pretty different in its style and the like. I like. Anyhow, I recently finished watching Infinite Ryvius (which I also recently encoded in 720p I'll add), and it was a pretty good show overall. The major thing I liked about it was the characters and how things played out between them. Granted, there was a few loose ends that weren't tied up and the ending felt like it lacked closure on some things, but I liked it regardless as it had a nice message and was a nice bookend for the story as a whole.

I would recommend it. Also, download my torrent. Just kidding. Though, if you're interested, I say you should. In any case, the manga of Betterman has been getting better, but don't read it if you haven't saw the anime. Anyway, I know literally nobody is reading this or is even interested, but do enjoy the chapter if you are. See ya!

Betterman - Chapter 02 [English] [Manga]

This chapter actually skips ahead to like episode 7 of the anime, but like the 1st chapter, the sequencing and such are different so you might be a little confused if you haven't seen the anime. In any case, there's a few things I've got to fix in chapter 1 which is nothing overly major, so expect a v1.1 sooner or later.

I jumped when Sakura did this. Lol.

And in other news, I've started to watch the Betterman anime and it's pretty good. Funny, too. However, I had been clicking through the episodes to the respective scenes for this manga to be sure on a few things, but most of it is different right down to the dialogue and the like. Betterman - Chapter 01 v1.01 [English] [Manga]

This chapter was kinda confusing and not a great start unless you've seen the anime which obviously it's aimed at those who have saw it. In any case, this is more or less a manga adaption of the Betterman anime with changes here and there. That aside, I bought this like a year ago along with that Higurashi manga, but the pages were kinda brown with this so I had to do my best to clean the pages, so do be understandable if it looks a tad bit too dark or bright in areas at times.

Anyway, enjoy the chapter. I've still got to scan more which I'll do tomorrow. Lastly, just something random. I'm nearly finished the 99 Hunter x Hunter anime and it's been pretty darn good. I'm really looking forward to get started on the 2011 anime after the OVAs. And I'm reading the manga, but I keep forgetting to read the next volume. That, and I plan to jump into JoJo's Bizarre Adventure soon, too. All said and done, enjoy the BetaMan chapter.
