Lastly, there's only 3 more chapter of this volume to go, and it shouldn't be long before I finish this volume.

And in other news, I started watching Escaflowne and it's pretty good aside from the mediocre first episode and Hitomi almost getting raped by a fat, old man at the start of episode 03. Also, I know Terra ForMars is starting back soon, but I'm really thinking of not bothering to scanlate the series when it resumes. It just takes too much away from other things given that it's weekly.

Apocrypha Getter Robo Darkness Chapter 13 [English] [Manga]

Man, those Idea guys were small years before. And Hayato's army went the way of Berserk, getting all torn apart helplessly. That's one way to go. Yikes. Anyhow, I watched Alien Nine the other day and it was pretty great. I'd loved it.

Betterman - Complete Volume [English] [Manga]

This was a decent manga despite it jumping events between chapters and not being entirely coherent (though you've meant to have seen the anime), but what I liked about it was how it took things a little differently at times and the dialogue in it. Anyhow, I had to like remove some paper-ish bits on half the pages and level them slightly in the affected areas and fix a few lines before compiling this volume, FYI. Do enjoy, but don't read if you haven't saw the anime because this is meant to be a companion book to it. See ya!

Betterman - Chapter 06 - Final [English] [Manga]

Heroes never die

This was a nice end to the manga. It helps convey the message and the ending is not so grim as it is in the anime where they laugh manically like they're infected with Algernon. Here, they actually say a few words, have a message for the future, see that Akamatsu and the crew survived and see the remains of Betterman and a transformation seed because heroes never die. In other news, I checked out a few works by the author who did Getter Robo Darkness and man do I have something to say about that.

The only one I really want to mention is Spider Sniper Koroshiya. There's violence and lots of sex like every 2 pages, but the entire thing is just so absurdly done that it makes me want to read it. On that, I intend to start translating the first volume soon Anyway, I'll be checking over the chapters to make sure everything's good and ready for the volume release, so expect that very soon. Apocrypha Getter Robo Darkness Chapter 12 [English] [Manga]

Jesus. The literal edge this chapter. That aside, it was pretty good. It helps explain a few things like the state of Japan and give an actual proper reason why Hayato was taking on the government unlike in the original where it was pretty badly done. From what I remember, it was like "hurr durr because reasons" where here it's actually understandable why they're doing what they're doing.

Anyway, I'm glad to have this chapter done because it was rather tiring to do, but I've making great progress through the second volume. At any rate, the final Betterman chapter is coming next, and the ending is different from the anime which was nice to see. Look forward to it. Enjoy this chapter. See ya!

Thus starts our flashback chapters for Hayato, and how he and the others first met. It looks alright. Nothing spectacular. Apocrypha Getter Robo Darkness Chapter 9 [English] [Manga]

YAMERO! YAMEROOOO!!!

Yes, that's right! Another chapter 4-5 months later! Amazing, right? Well, I got side-tracked and I didn't feel like working on it, but I do right now. That's it. And, I have to say that I'm still really liking this. Many people may just look at it and just say that it's violence and smut fanservice and just disregard the manga, but it also carries with it the message of using Getter to forward humanity's evolution and many other things that previous Getter entries do. Also, I do love the designs, art-style and overall aesthetic of the manga. It's really great, and I think that people are too harsh on this manga when they judge it.

In any case, I'll be doing more of this soon as I do want to make progress in it. I really didn't want Astarte to die by those other Idea so I'm glad she survived. Albeit with her tits bitten off and after getting gang-banged. Mmm? This author really knows his audience. And in other news, somebody offered to buy the rest of Devilman Saga manga and scan them for me to scanlate which is very generous as he did have to spend his own money and a good bit at that. Betterman - Chapter 04 [English] [Manga]

Based Akamatsu

I found it a tad bit odd to see a few mis-translations and whatnot in Betterman. Of course, they could be mis-spellings due to R & L and stuff like that, they choose to spell it like that, they're just plain wrong, or just that they didn't do their research. In any case, let's go through a few. First is from the anime and the second one is the manga here that I'm doing.

Chandy - Chandi: Hindu goddess, and aspect of Pārvatī. Minor thing, but it should be Chandi.
Mode Warp - Modi Warp - Spelt and pronounced Modi, but says Mode in signs for some reason.
Kankel - Kanker: Literally means cancer in Dutch. Has meaning in relation to the villain.
Vivele - Vivere: Is Latin for life. The "seed of Vivere" aka the seed of life. Has meaning in relation to the plot and such if you've seen the anime. Can't talk about it without spoilers.

The last one is a big one, I'd say. The rest aren't too bad, but the right spelling is obvious except for Modi Warp as I'm sure that was just the Japanese messing up in translating from Japanese to English. In any case, enjoy the chapter. This was a good one. There's also only two more left. Lastly, in other news, my YouTube channel got shut down and I'm really fucking pissed at that. I've had it since 2006 and this is the 2nd time it's happened. I better get it back, but all I've got from Google so far is "bla bla bla copyright no can do". Well, I'll keep trying every week until I do. Anyway, see ya!

Betterman - Chapter 03 v1.01 [English] [Manga]

I'm actually really enjoying the Betterman anime. It's a fresh breath of air for me as it's pretty different in its style and the like. I like. Anyhow, I recently finished watching Infinite Ryvius (which I also recently encoded in 720p I'll add), and it was a pretty good show overall. The major thing I liked about it was the characters and how things played out between them. Granted, there was a few loose ends that weren't tied up and the ending felt like it lacked closure on some things, but I liked it regardless as it had a nice message and was a nice bookend for the story as a whole.

I would recommend it. Also, download my torrent. Just kidding. Though, if you're interested, I say you should. In any case, the manga of Betterman has been getting better, but don't read it if you haven't saw the anime. Anyway, I know literally nobody is reading this or is even interested, but do enjoy the chapter if you are. See ya!
