And thus the story has come to an end. Now, I was aware that another scanlation group had already finished this before I made a start on this (like the week before when I checked), but since I had bought the book like a year ago before they did and I found out, I wanted to do the Bus Stop manga. Well, that and to one-up my awful and embarrassing attempt at the VN many years ago. At any rate, I included the old scanlation release in the DL link for archiving purposes. And on that, I was going to do the manga back when I did the VN, but the original scanlation group wouldn't share their private raws with me when I asked and acted as if "if we're not doing it, then no one is" which did annoy me because all I wanted was to do the manga. *sad face* Anyway, I'd say the manga is good, but the VN will always be the best. Nothing personal, kid. 

Man, there's a shit-ton of text in these chapters. They're mostly the same as the VN, but I was sad to see them change the line where not Takano mocks Mion and Rika about them going to live together forever by saying something about them going to the bathroom and getting washed together IIRC. A very minor thing.

Anyhow, I'm glad there's only one more chapter to go because it'll be another thing off my list, and then I'll be able to work my way through more stuff I've got lying around. One of which I started the other day, JUST!! Just what, you ask? Just love.

That was a heavy chapter. Phew. Glad I got that one done. Now there's only two chapters left, and that's the volume/story done. In other news, I started to take apart today that JUST yaoi manga about two guys and a girl in a love triangle or something like that which I'll start scanning soon. I need something to work on after this and Propeller Heaven while doing more Saga.

I really feel bad for Arakawa. That shit just ain't funny. It fucked me up more than Come and See which I watched today I'm just going to randomly let you know. Great movie by the way. Check it out. Anyhow, this was a good chapter, but in the VN, it's the characters from the Bus Stop who take the place of the people in Ara's past, not the characters from the main Higurashi series IIRC. Just a little FYI for y'all.

I know myself, and I have faith in Ryukishi07 as he himself worked for a child help agency place and had to deal with various things of which he also took inspiration from. There was a good bit of redraw in this one even with my use of stoke, but I'm not fond of doing redraw since it isn't exactly my strongest suit. In any case, another one bites the dust. Hinamizawa Bus Stop - Chapter 01 [English] [Manga]

I took my sweet ass time this past week getting this first chapter done, but I was working on a video encoding project or two as well. In any case, I didn't exactly enjoy working on this. For one, there was a shit-ton of text and I mean, they literally took almost every single line out of the VN and put it in the manga which I say they shouldn't have done. At the very least, they could have slimmed the dialogue down and change a few things to fix better with the pacing of a manga. Meh. For two, I haven't been feeling very well as I have another swollen gland and also a tight jaw this time. Not that my health has ever been good, but O woe is me. Can't wait until I get my mouth and teeth fixed because it's fucking annoying and very painful at times. For three, it was embarrassing to go over the text as there was a fuck-ton of mistakes and errors I made when doing the VN, but that was many years ago and I've come a long way since then. Anyway, enjoy the chapter. I'll be starting on the Betterman manga next! See ya!

Hinamizawa Bus Stop Stage Play

I doubt that anybody else is gonna mention or post about this, but it seems that the Japanese stage play adaptation of Hinamizawa Bus Stop had its first showing the other day on the 26th, and R07 actually put up a picture of himself with the play's cast on Twitter. Pretty neat if you ask me. Also, you might want to check out its website for more details, and the official twitter for more pics, too. Furthermore, there was an Australian guy who planned (announced before the Japanese one, FYI) to have his own stage play adaptation of the same story sometime late this year, but I wonder if it has fallen apart or if it will actually go ahead and happen. Who knows, but I'll e-mail the guy and see what's up. Anyhow, I'm unsure if the Japanese stage play will come to video or not, but I guess we'll have to wait and see. Bye!
