Omorai-kun Volume 2 [English] [Manga] [Non-Hick Edition]

Man, am I glad to have this over and done with. Literally took me hours going through each page again and replacing the text with the original script. Ugh. My head. Kill me now. Meh. In any case, this is it for the manga. Time to say goodbye. On that, I really enjoyed Omorai-kun and I will miss it because it was enjoyable to work on and read which is more than I can say for other things I've done.

However, the worst thing is how not much people payed attention to it and how it will most likely be forgotten to which I'll say it already has because barely anyone compared to volume 1 checked out volume 2. Sigh. At the end of the day, what I want most is people to read and talk about the manga that I work on because if people don't, to me it feels like what I do is not appreciated at all even though I put a fuck ton of time and effort into doing all this manga and it's not like I get anything out of it for the most part. Omorai-kun Chapter 24 - Final Chapter [English] [Manga]

That was a nice little send-off for the manga. In any case, I was supposed to have this done earlier, but my tooth started acting up again so I had to lay down for a bit and try various things to help the pain. The worst thing ever is dental pain and the waiting lists to get them fixed, too. Should only be a few more weeks for my first operation and mid-February for my second to fix a tooth of mine with a filling that is rotten and inflamed or whatever. It's from like 6 years ago, but it has only started to get really bad in recent months. In any case, enough of my problems. Enjoy the final chapter of Omorai. See ya! I've actually been making great progress with Omorai-kun and now there's only 4 chapters left. When I get it done, it'll be one thing off my list. However, when I do, I'm gonna be a bit sad since I won't be working on the series anymore and it'll probably just fade into obscurity. Tears. In any case, I also kinda got fired from my job the other day due to a little incident that happened weeks back so I'll unfortunately have more time on my hands meanwhile I'm looking for a new job (after Christmas) to work on things.

Omorai-kun Chapter 19 - Part 2 [English] [Manga] & Minor Before the Storm Episode 3 Post

Now, this chapter was pretty fucking funny. A good read especially after the last one. In any case, I finished playing Before the Storm episode 3 today and I will say that I am disappointed. There was just not enough closure on events and the buildup of your choices didn't really seem to matter which is ironic since it's up for the "Choices Matter" Steam Award. Lol. Now, that's not to say it didn't have its moments or anything. It is still worth a play as a fan, but I am more excited for the Farewell episode. I was even before episode 3 came out and even more so when they said that the voice actors from the original would be returning for it.

Where's my money, Denny?

That aside, they could try and fix things with episode 3 before they release it on disc probably sometime next year and I would be okay with that as it would be a good thing. All in all, I'll stop myself here before I can't. Enjoy this chapter of Omorai-kun. See ya next time.

Lol. So Random.

Wow. This chapter was complete nonsense. Literally so random XD. Snores. Speaking of snores, even though I've been suspended from work for about a week now, I've done fuck all and have been doing stuff like a snail. Mostly due to PUBG being really good. In any case, this chapter was like 50 pages or so long so I split it into 2 chapters to make things easier.

This anime is pretty good. Check it out.

Omorai-kun Chapter 15 [English] [Manga]

Go Nagai can be really funny at time and Omorai is absurdly humorous. I mean, despite this manga being literally ancient, it's still very funny which goes to show how well it holds up. However, the same can't be said for many of Nagai's works in last decade or two as he has been very hit and miss.

Omorai-kun Chapter 14 [English] [Manga] Volume 2 Start & General Update

I was going to do the next Izumo chapter, but I really couldn't be bothered so I might as well get started on Omorai volume 2. And man does time fly because it has literally been about 7 months since volume 1. Granted, I have done a bunch other shit during that time, but it seems that I have neglected our lovable beggars for far too long.

Anyway, as I said before, I won't be doing much Nagai in future or taking upon new works of his because I have been concentrating too much on it in the recent year or two, because I want to break free and start on different manga, and because I have a huge-ass backlog of manga to scanlate that I have bought and I might as well list them all for curiosity's sake:

See what I mean? In other words, before I even consider more Nagai/Dynamic Pro outside of Omorai & Getter Robo Darkness, I need to get a good bit of my backlog done. Kikkai vs Omorai [English] [Manga]

This too longer than I thought it would, but at least it's done now. It was a fun little cross-over. In any case, this was from one of those art/info books I scanned this year at the end for some reason so it doesn't exactly have a cover. Kikkai is also funny. He series seems funny, but the raws aren't very hot.

Omorai-kun Volume 1 [English] [Manga] [Non-Hick Edition]

I know some people didn't exactly like what I did with Omorai and co's dialogue, but I wanted to have it like that, so I thought that I might as well make a non-hick edition if you will for those who want to read it without the "u wot m8" and all. In any case, I'll be starting on the 2nd volume sooner or later, but first, I want to get a few things out of the way.

That, and I need to set some time aside to play Mass Effect Andromeda on the Xbox One, FYI. It's pretty good, I'd say. Anyway, I hope that those who were put off with what I did with Omorai and co's dialogue come back and give the series a read because it is pretty funny. However, the non-hick edition is ONLY available to download and torrent as I won't be adding it to any online readers and the hick dialogue will be the norm until I get it all done and then I'll do the non-hick edition for the 2nd volume. Omorai-kun Volume 1 [English] [Manga]

Anyway, I know that I did edit Omorai and the gang's dialogue slightly, but I tried going through some of the pages and it then dawned on me how long it would actually take to fix up all their dialogue across the entire volume since there is a ton of effort required. Sorry to say, but I probably won’t be doing a normal version. Maybe later, but probably not. Though I did fix up a few things here and there, but they're not really worthy of note.

In any case, now that I've got all that out of the way, I'd like to say that I'll be scanning Go Nagai Chronicle and End of the century devil encyclopedia artbooks which I recently bought very soon. Other than that, I do hope that you enjoyed Omorai-kun volume 1. I'll be doing the 2nd volume, but I'd like to get a few other things out of the way first, so that'll probably be in about a month or two from now. See ya!

Thanks for reading Omorai-kun Volume 1. Omorai-kun turned out to be a hidden classic of Nagai, and it really does show. It’s very funny, even holds up to this day, and I’m glad that I had the chance to read, and translate it. Though it’s kinda sad it never got an anime or even a reboot years after its original release. Anyway, I did edit Omorai and company’s dialogue slightly, but I’ll be releasing a normal version with all that removed, so be on the lookout for that and the volume compile (which will have a few fixes here and there) very soon. 

Other than that, I will be doing the 2nd volume, but first, I’d like to get the compile done and a few other things outta the way first. Also, I just want to say that I really love how Nagai draws so many different designs for the characters in this even in random backgrounds shots because 99% of the manga that he has done, he never does.
