Terra ForMars Volume 19, 20 & 21 Compiles [English] [Manga]

I've literally had this sitting in folders waiting for me to compile and organise them into a release for about a year now. I had some help on volume 19 as you'll see that they use the digital raws for like the first half. However, I've completely forgotten who did that for me so I'll credit him/her with a little thank you note on the credits page. In any case, VIZ has indeed nearly caught up with the series since its hiatus which is a really good thing. Their next volume should release before the series resumes in Japan, so I'm wondering if they'll continue the series in chapter form on an online platform of sorts.

That aside, these volumes of mine are more or less the magazine chapters with the end pages taken out compiled into a volume release with the cover and the extra pages raw. I'm not looking to fix them up as they can actually be bought from VIZ which I would recommend fans doing and because I really don't want to put in the effort as transferring the chapter into digital raws is very time consuming. Mashira - Chapter 17 [English] [Manga] & Terra ForMars Back Off Hiatus

Another short chapter, but at least it's still coming out and stuff are happening. That aside, Terra ForMars was announced as coming back early next year so that is good news. There's not much to be said about, though. So, that also aside, I'm very disappointed that the Royal Mail did not operate today due to the weather (which wasn't that bad in Belfast) because that meant my pre-order for PUBG did not arrive on the day it should have, and now I have to miss out on all the first-day fun. Meh. Fortnite (which is pretty good, I'll say) will have to tide me over until it comes tomorrow which it fucking better or I'll be even more pissed.

That, and that headset I ordered like 3 fucking weeks ago from in the UK should arrive, too. Weather smeather. In any case, enjoy the Mashira chapter. Well, we've finally reached its end. Sadly, literally nobody was interested in this when I was doing it, and I'll say that I am very disappointed in the Terra ForMars fanbase and manga readers in general. Shame on you all. I know the series ain't exactly popular anymore and a good bunch of people dropped the series, but it seems that we have reached the end-point for Terra ForMars unless the main series when it returns will magically bring everyone back... which I highly doubt.

Furthermore, it doesn't make me feel any better when I put a lot of effort and personal time into doing what I do when very little people even read, or even worse don't talk about it at all. Because at the end of the day, those are the two main things that I want to see. People reading and talking about the story or anything about it to be honest. Someone chuck a cupcake at me! Memes aside, another good chapter of Keiji down, but I'm sad to say that it doesn't end so well. You'll see in the next and final chapter what I mean, but part of it is to do with it being only one volume long which I have mentioned before. Anyhow, I'm really excited to get started back on Getter Robo Edge after Keiji as it is yet another thing in my large-ass backlog that I've to crawl through.

Damn, Keiji just keeps getting better and better. I was very pessimistic about it at first, but it has turned out great thus far. Too bad there's only one volume like Rain Hard as Asimov's side-story greatly benefited from being more than one volume long as there's much more room to develop everything.

Anyhow, there's a little TL thing I'd like to mention here and it's the part where Amelia mistakes Keiji asking her to go out as really meaning going out, because the Japanese word used is contextual and since she doesn't know Japanese the best, she assumed that he wanted to go out with her and not accompany him to a certain place which the word can also mean. Anyway, enough of that. Enjoy the chapter. More manga coming soon!

Terra ForMars Gaiden - Onizuka Keiji - Chapter 2 [English] [Manga]

Took a while to get this done seeing how there was a good bit of text and that it was 40 pages long and that I have had the cold (the deadly Japanese cold) and cough for about 5 days now, but aside from that, this chapter was pretty darn good. It was funny, interesting and rather entertaining overall. Very excited for the next chapter. However, before that comes the next Mashira which to be honest, doesn't look very good.

Well, that's because they're just sitting in the community centre talking about stuff the entire chapter. In any case, I'm sad to say that there still has not been any news of the main series yet. I really want to see where the story is going, but I also hope that the author gets better as we won't get it without him. I recently got digital raws for this spin-off, but after checking it out, it really doesn't look that good. However, I'll do it anyway because I want to see what it's about and I'm sure you guys want to see, too.

Everyone's acting out of character and Keiji being a white knight saving a woman from getting raped is so fucking cliche that I literally got triggered. And now, we have finally reached the end... And now, we must wait until the series resume later this year. Will there be a time-skip or will it pick up where we left off? There's so much shit that need to be resolved, but only time will tell. We will have to wait. Are you excited as I am? Maybe. I really hate how people thought this guy was gonna die when the author hasn't done that sort of thing in a very long time. It's as if most people aren't paying attention or have just jumped into the series after a good bit of time which is the most likely conclusion. Anyway, this guy is pretty awesome. Hope we get to see more of him later on, and I hope he doesn't die like those other people who didn't last more than a year.

If you haven't noticed, I really, really, really like Terra ForMars, and this chapter really shows why. Action, monologues, political intrigues, interesting characters, humanoid roaches. Need I say more? It has a wide appeal and is very popular in Japan, but sadly it hasn't exactly kicked off in the West. Made even worse by the fact that interest in the series is now at an all-time low, and there are few fans left who are actually keeping up with the series.

But, hopefully interest will pick up once again in future and people will actually talk about the series for once. Anyway, this chapter was good and I'm really interested to see where this is going. Ack! This chapter had a FUCK-TON of text to translate (which is one of the annoying parts of working on Terra ForMars) especially since it had like twice the amount of a regular one... literally and especially because I wanted to get this done after work even though I had a throbbing headache, but I just couldn't help myself. It's not so bad when there's fighting one chapter and talking the next or both, but with this new arc, there is WAY more text than actual things happening, and it makes it a real bother to work on.

Anyway, yeah that Independence Day part got a chuckle out of me but it is fitting in context to the story. However, it does seem things are heating up and I for one are very excited as to what is going to happen.
