That said, there isn't much I'd like to say other than they were a few odd lines as you'll see yourself, there was a good bit of redraw that took a while to do (last page being one), the "pint" part is deliberate (the kanji used was just for a glass so yeah pint) and that I'm getting ready for a wham bam. Anyway, not much to say for this chapter's post other than I got banned from 4chan again (fucking reddit mods) so hopefully kind Anon-kun can dump this chapter, and that I got a warning on Batoto (oh, scary) because of the blurred porn that I've been using at the end of chapters. Terra Formars Manga Chapter 151 English Translation

Yup. Got it done. Now, I just want to let you guys all know that I may or may not be continuing depending if I get some help or not. That is to say, it is very taxing on myself, not to mention depressing doing it all by myself so this time round I'd like some help. I've already posted a topic on batoto and mangahelpers, and I got a cleaner who contacted me by email, but he's not the best and I had to run filters to fix up what he sent me.

That said, on to translation stuff. Now, Mangastream got everything down pretty well across the board, and while there were some fumbles here and there, it's probably just adapting certain lines and stuff like that. However, there were a few eyebrow raising things. First, the first line on page 2. It doesn't say "who sent it", but rather "It's where?". As if, they didn't expect the ship to be at Mars, hence the line. That, and anybody who can check an online dictionary can tell you that. What happened there?

Anyhow, they also got the roaches "johji" wrong, they had just "Joh" which was wrong. Did they even look at the line? Seriously, some people. And lastly, "The Design Republic"....... what? Back up, back up, back up, back the fuck up! Okay. Let me get this straight. Here is the JP for that line "デザ共和国"!  Now put that into google translate, and see what you get. But! Hold up. Read it phonetically. What does it say? Hmm. I can't hear you. Speak a little louder. It's fucking Deza! Not fucking "Design"! Moreover, you even see Japanese products with Deza on 'em when you google the fucking characters! Gah! Just guess how they got "Design"? Just guess. Ugh. Anyhow, "if" it was "デザイン", then yes, it would be design, but that's not the given letters. Anyway, their TL is fine for the most part but they seriously need to check things over.

All said and done, you'll see for yourself how some lines are worded very differently so I say judge for yourself. They're mainly how one can take the same line very differently, and what being more literal is like. Update
Actually, the Deza thing was Design since it was an abbreviation of Dezain which means Design. Though I searched the internet and the online dictionaries beforehand and it didn't say that it was an abbreviation of it. Hence, why I left it Deza. Anyhow, doesn't really matter. I doubt I'll get any help to continue the series past this point.

Batoto Goes Private

Recently, it seems that Batoto has decided among other things to go private to prevent leacher sites from taking and mirroring their content. Now, a good bunch of people are really pissed off at this but I myself don't see the problem. Just get yourself an account and you'll be sorted for the rest of your browsing history on the site. Nuff said. It's just like exhentai/sadpanda, just get yourself an account and everything will be fine. 

However, I do understand why people would be pissed at this sort of event seeing how the appeal of read online sites are their ease of access. So, most people will probably just use a different site than Batoto to get their manga fix. Meaning the sites they directly oppose. Because they "will" get their content one way or another. Either directly from scanlator homepages, or simply copying and pasting their images. Also, many people see logins as a major bother and would rather wait, so there's that to consider as well. So, in reality, while this may be an annoyance/deterrence to sites like mangafox and mangapark, they'll eventually work around it through other means.

Anyhow, I'm not bothered by this event so it doesn't exactly affect me seeing how firstly, I myself don't mind logging in and secondly, I upload to not just Batoto. I'll still be uploading to the site, and using it. Though, FYI, just for the record, I do upload directly to mangafox to get stuff out there since I'm more about ease of access (PDF reader accessible by anyone for example) to get as many people to read it as possible, and stuff like that. All said and done, anyone who comes on here got any anything to add or want to make a comment on what's happening with Batoto? Go right ahead. If not, see you next time. Bye!

Terra Formars: Hentai Edtion & Update!

I’m unsure if you guys who visit and comment on my blog here know, but remember that joke hentai chapter of 138 I released not long ago? Well, it’s funny because that actually got uploaded and approved on batoto, and man oh man is that hilarious. Everybody flipped their shit in the comments section and that was a sight to see. Heh heh. Though one guy saw it as a “translator tantrum” and I have no clue what he’s talking about. I mean, he even thinks that the uploader of the chapters on there is me when it’s not, and that I did the hentai joke chapter because of him. Get your facts straight, buddy. To clear things up, my intention was to see if it would be mirrored across all online reader sites just to fuck their shit up. Anyway, among various other things, a few people also got pissy saying that what I did was childish. Well, all I gotta say it, come on, laugh a little. No hard feelings, eh? All in all, it got removed presumably a few hours later, but that was enough time for a lot of people to see it. Hee hee. What do you guys think of that event? Pretty funny, huh?

Anyway, now onto to something else. Well, you know the current situation with ;display, so are they dead or what? I mean, if they don’t put out the volume they’re working on, who the hell’s gonna be doing the volume releases? I don’t wanna do ‘em. I got enough shit to work on, and even a new manga series I’ll be translating. Though give or take a few months and we’ll see if they put it out or not. I hope they do. However, if they don’t, is there any interest in wanting me to pick up where they left off? Not trying to take anything over, just curious in what you guys think seeing how the volumes will be sitting on a to-do list for the entire series if ;display die on us.

P.S. - That hentai post was just a one off joke chapter, so I won’t be doing anything like that again, FYI. Hee hee. Though it was kinda funny.

Terra Formars Manga Chapter 114 English Translation

It seems some people on batoto are getting pissed at me for "hijacking" the release of Terra Formars. That said, there is no such thing as scanlator "dibs" on any series whatsoever. Its very egotistical to think so and is a practice that needs to die. Anyone should be able to freely pick up anything because no scanlator group owns any series, the creator does. So its not some dude on the internet, and its certainly not me.

Heck, translation wise, mine and display: none;'s will probably end up very differently. For one, I tend to translate literally while they on the other hand don't, rewriting dialogues into "what cha" and "you guys". I don't intend to judge, but I never liked that about their translation. It always felt inaccurate and made me feel very skeptical about its accuracy. That said, maybe some people prefer it that way, and maybe some people don't. I for one don't, but if you do, then go ahead and wait for their release. I'm not forcing anyone to read mine, and I'm not "hijacking" anything. So go ahead and choose your preference. However, many people probably don't even care about any of this, and only want to read more of a series that they are interested in. I believe that's the majority, but because of this, some people think I am stealing their thunder by releasing it earlier than theirs, because nobody will notice or read theirs once released. If you think that, you have a very large, over bloated ego and presumably only care about the attention in which you receive. I for one on the other hand don't care about any of that, as I too only wish to read more of a series in which I enjoy. So I'm not doing this for any sort of attention, or anything of the like. I just hope that people understand that.

Now that I've got that out of the way, here's the next chapter of Terra Formars. I hope you enjoy it. Things from now on should be that much easier, as I won't have to painfully airbrush away anything thanks to the Spanish supplying me with clean images.
