Devilman 1972 Blu-Ray Raw & 720p Encode Comparison

The Devilman BD wasn't very good (naturally the video quality isn't going to be the same due to file size and the like), but just to let people see that for themselves and to better understand why I put it in 720p, I took a few pics from the raw files and my encode of the show. Now, they are as below, and I left them in their original dimensions and in png for best judging. Felt like doing this as I still had the raw files on my computer and wanted to get rid of them to free up space. In any case, do enjoy. See ya!

Futari wa Precure (Pretty Cure) Max Heart - The Movie [1080p] [Anime] [English Sub]

I kinda forgot to post this here when I added the torrent on nyaa and uploaded it to MEGA a week or so back. In any case, it's here now, but I would also like to mention that I haven't dropped the Futari wa manga as I've just been busy with other things since Christmas, so I will be working on the next chapter very soon. Other than that, enjoy the movie in 1080p. Bai bai!

Magic Knight Rayearth 2nd - The Missing Colors Box & Manual Scans [Game Boy]

Yesh! This arrived just today so I got to scanning it right away! And that's all the games I've ordered so far because I haven't seen any of the others on ebay recently or at least for a good price. Also, I'm uploading the rest of those Blu-ray episodes now as I kinda forgot and I've had to download a fuck-ton of updates and stuff for my Xbox One. Anyway, enjoy the scans.

Magic Knight Rayearth DVD Blu-Ray Comparison - Part 3

You know, I may be a stupid bastard but at least I admit it. That's gotta count for something, right? Anyway, I really should have just done this from the get go but knowing me and my lazy ass I never actually went to compare the raw BD to the DVD myself as those other 4 pics from before were off the nyaa filter torrent as comparison. However, here's about 10 images straight from the raw BD in comparison to the DVD release, and also two other pics at the end of a shitty BD encode I attempted and failed miserably. Granted I've never had any experience with encoding but I wanted to see if it would turn out any good and as you can see it doesn't look very good even though it was at 15000 bitrate using handbrake. In any case, umm, bye.

Magic Knight Rayearth DVD Blu-Ray Comparison - Part 2

I actually forgot to mention last time that the BD comparison pics I posted were from a filtered torrent and not the raw BD. Therefore, to help clear things up, here's what the actual BD looks like in comparison to the filtered version. Now, the BD doesn't look very good and while the filtered version does indeed look better in some ways, the lines are far too smudged. However, just as a test, I overlayed the filtered version on top of the raw BD at 50% opacity to gain some kind of middle ground and it seems an improvement. You'll find that pic right at the end. Thoughts?

Magic Knight Rayearth Blu-ray Box Illustrations Gallery

Some artwork and illustrations that were used on CDs, DVDs and such that came with the Blu-ray Box. Compressed them so they were 122mb instead of being 400mb odd. You'll not notice much difference, anyhow. Enjoy. I'll drop a few pics, and download and view online links below. See ya.

Magic Knight Rayearth Blu-Ray Digital Gallery

Some nice looking art, design stuff and such as an extra on the 7th disc of the blu-ray for the 1st and 2nd season of the anime. I like. Especially Nova, Iczer references and Obari. Ahem. Anyway, if you're a fan of the series then you'll probably want to take a look at these. There's also some storyboards in there including the intros and outros so they'll be worth a look, too. I'll drop a few pics below. Enjoy.

What a terrible cover

Seems that one of my favorite animes of all time recently had BD rips uploaded online. Hee hee. Only took 2 years. It looks great even if it is a filter which is better than nothing. In any case, it does look kinda bad at times but that's due to the drawings not being very detailed in the first place. A good example is the group shot of the villains in the first opening. Their faces are scrunched up so it didn't help when the filters were applied. Food for thought. Also, take note of the now noticeable detail in the cape when it moves in the first OP. It was very faint in the DVD version so I wonder if there's more like that.

Furthermore, the frames seem to have been moved up a little cutting off a small portion of the bottom seen in the DVD version. Worthy to note, but it's not much of a problem. And lastly, the colors are brighter/cleaner making it look much better save for some parts here and there when it is a tad bit too bright. Anyhow, yeah, it is more or less a smudge/DVNR filter but it does actually look better. However, I recommend to watch it from a TV or tablet and not a PC monitor like a pleb because you'll be too close to the screen, you'll notice the filter too much and you'll hurt your back. I approve. Anyway, I'll dump the screenshot comparisons below. They're all from the first episode, FYI. Enjoy. BD is the left and the right is the DVD. See ya!
