Blog Update - 8th February 2016

Just a little update here for you guys. Now, as some of you may have noticed, the tabs at the top of my blog have been gone for quite some time now. Just over a month, I think. Anyway, in December (if I remember correctly), I received a few DMCA's for those Higurashi Blu-Ray comparison pics I did like fucking last year for some fucking reason. Ahem. Now, they didn't just stop there as they also hit one of my progress updates for Higurashi Rei (even though all that had was the cover of the game and a block of text, but whatever). Why, you ask? Well, I don't fucking know because I wasn't even given a fucking reason. And I appealed but we all know how that always turns out. Like Youtube. You get a general rejection reply without giving you a reason or as to why the DMCA happened in the first place. Wow, thanks a lot, Google. You're amazing. Stupid fucks.

Anyway, just encase anything else were to be targeted on my blog I decided to place the majority of my downloads like the Eva artbooks and such in draft for about a month until things clear. And I haven't got any DMCA's since so I think I'll reactivate those posts and tabs. Not the one's which got DMCA'd but the Eva shit and stuff. In any case, let's just hope stupid shit like this doesn't happen in future. Umm, bye. Captain Jack signing off.

Neon Genesis Evangelion: Misc GB and SNES Porn Slideshows

Now, this is a rather weird thing since somebody back in the 90's I presume must have created these Evangelion porn slideshows and shoved them on carts, which further I presume to have been sold under the counter or some other means. Or, they were created not when the show came out but when people were able to create their own retro hacks and such online, and then somebody just put them on the net. Who knows the real story, though. Anyhow, if you're a fan of old style pixel porn then I guess you'll enjoy what you find in the slideshows. The first is a slideshow with some text and no porn dedicated solely to Rei for the Game Boy (the only one) so get yourself an emulator and make sure you do the same for the following as well, the second is dedicated solely to Asuka except this time there is porn though not all of it is, the third is pics from the show slapped on a cart and no porn, and last but not least the fourth Slideshow E is actual porn of most the female cast with some nasty looking crotch hair for the most part. Now, the images which I have dropped below are just some examples from the slideshows that aren't too pervy (the Misato one is for the nasty scar, or is it?) so check the actual thing out itself for the real porn if you're interested. All said and done, who really knows when these things were made so I just put 199X for the date, and yes, that is a Fist of the North Star reference. Umm, bye! Enjoy your porn! Or not seeing how not all of it is porn, but whatever. Umm, bye again!

Higurashi no Naku Koro ni Rei v1.1 English Translation & Sui Patch

Now, I've had this in the works for some time (months), but I was tripling projects so it was hard to fit this in-between my weekly Terra Formars release and my main VN translation, Girlfriend of Steel 2. Also, I had to go through each line to add in quotations so going through the entire script again took freaking forever. Anyhow, I wanted to keep things quiet to surprise the community, unless you've been following my twitter and noticed that I've mentioned it and posted things related frequently. That said, this isn't just a Sui patch for Rei as I also fixed up some of the dialogue here and there and removed those pesky japanese brackets in favor of quotations, too. Yes, quotations, bitches! I couldn't have them before due to a technical issue, but I checked out the other arc that was translated years ago and noticed they had a little digit like this ' before each line so that the game wouldn't crash if a " was used instead of a JP bracket. Wish I knew that sooner.

Furthermore, I took the liberty of making various versions of the translation aimed at different types of people. Now, you are going to be puzzled by what you see in the archive, but I assure you, it is for everyone's benefit. That said, as I mentioned above, I took the liberty of making various versions of the translation aimed at different types of people. What do I mean by that, you ask? Simple. Since there are those who prefer honorifics and those who don't, I created different versions of the translation aimed directly at them. However, I also wanted to test things out and attempt translating the honorifics, so the folder called "Translated Honorifics" is just that. See this notes document for more. All said and done, you can choose to read the game in its original form, or with the PS3 sprites and backgrounds with either translation type. So pick your poison and place the script file from your desired way to read (folder) and place it where the onscripter exe is. Simple. Then use said exe to launch the game and read away.

Now, I'm very glad to get this off my back as I can now focus my efforts on other things. Terra Formars and Evangelion mainly. So yes! No more Higurashi! I'm free! Ah ha ha ha ha ha! Higurashi no Naku Koro ni Hou & Rei English Translation Update

I've been thinking recently. My translation of Hou leaved a lot to be desired, so I'll be touching it and Rei both up sooner or later since I want to get a few other things out of the way before I do just that. That said, I'll also remove those stupid untranslated JP words like nakama and bakemono, since I wasn't totally thinking straight when I did Hou. However, I have improved very much since then so I just want to ensure that people get the best experience out of the story. Also, I kinda forgot to create a variation of my translation for Rei with less JP words and all so I'll add that to the list. Furthermore, that variation will feature all honorifics stripped (unlike Hou's), translated arc titles and stuff like that. Though, that version will only be recommended for those who may not like or enjoy honorifics while reading, much like manga. While on the other hand, the main translation that I, myself prefer, will keep all the honorifics, original titles, bla bla bla, so not much will change there. Lastly, I mentioned before that I would be doing a Matsuri patch for Rei, though Gura advised me not to since Sui was coming out. However, if you've been following the 4chan thread, then you know that things didn't not turn out so well. The sprites haven't been ripped and neither have the backgrounds, both due to the Umineko tools not working on the games files, except for sound and music. 

That said, I doubt much is missing from the existing Matsuri assets to create a graphics patch for Rei, so I'll try my best and find something to replace the certain backgrounds that may not have a counterpart. Anyhow, the guy behind the French translation of Hou created a sprite for both of Keiichi's parents. Though, what you see below may not be their final design, as he has been testing with eyes, too. Higurashi no Naku Koro ni Rei English Translation 1.0

Well, its finally here. I originally planned to have it finished not long before now, but Terra Formars slowed progress down greatly. That's not to say this is late or anything, I just wanted to mention some info related to this translation. Anyhow, the two other Rei arcs are now translated, so you can have at those and I also included the pre-existing translation of the main arc that was translated many years ago, which of course wasn't me, but I'll add those who did in the credits section at the bottom. Now, that's actually everything done for Rei, so we can cross that all off our bucket lists. That said, what comes next? Hmm, I know I put up a poll up about a few Kizuna and Matsuri arcs, but that was just a general poll to gather some info. It didn't mean I was going to continue from Rei to translating one of them, so sorry if any of you got your hopes up. But about my next project, I'll my doing a post about it sooner or later so stay tuned for that. Anyhow, you'll find the download link for my TL below, obviously. I hope you enjoy it, as I put many man hours into it, plenty of effort and it took a lot out of me as well, as VN translations would do to anyone. Anyhow, thanks for your interest since Hou. It means a lot. Also, I'm unsure if I'll ever go back to Higurashi VN translating in the future. I just thought I should let you know that. P.S. - I forgot to mention before, but Hou will be released in French sometime in the future as a French guy came to me some time ago, so the Spanish won't just be getting it. Also, I'll be working on an Alchemist graphics patch for Rei. Stay tuned for that. And furthermore, my Youtube account was terminated due to the last video part of Kamikanshi-hen, and I didn't get told why, but I'm guessing it had something to do with the end game punishment. So, I'd advise against uploading vids of that arc on Youtube, unless you want to face to same fate. Just a little heads up.

Higurashi no Naku Koro ni, Kai and Rei Graphic Rips

I ripped these a few weeks ago, and had a look around the files. It was really nice to see all the original sprites, sad though that nobody else even bothered to rip and post them but at least they're here now. Even all the mini game pics are in there, from Rena's hundred cracked fist to Oishi's jet stream attack. Although not everyone's sprites and expressions were in the one game so it was necessary to rip all three, so prepare yourself to search through them all for your specific interest. That set aside, you will find the links below so take a look at them if your interested. Now all I need to do is get my hands on Hou, them my evil plans will be complete.
